Scrapbook Saturdays - Saddlebag Sidekick

Hi all!! Welcome to my blog! I am so happy you stopped by today. As you may already know, I was chosen to be a member of My Cricut Craft Room's design team and this is my very first time to present a layout for her blog. Today is Scrapbook Saturdays and I am hoping that by being on this design team, I will be encouraged to catch up on my layouts. If you have checked out my blog, you will see that I make a lot of cards and not much else. I hope this is a brand new start of using those cool photos that I have been taking for the past couple of years.

This layout, Saddlebag Sidekick has been in my head for quite some time. I absolutely love this photo of my son, Cory on his motorcycle with his dog, Jonny Cash (he was a rescue and already named when he got him). Jonny is a Bichon and just as cute as can be. I used the Father's Day seasonal cartridge to make the motorcycle. I cut it using my Gypsy at a height of 1.35. The little dog came from of course the Paper Pups cartridge. I used the Gypsy to hide the original eyes cut from the Cricut cartridge and replaced it with the eyes from my PK-493 Everyday Character Face Parts set from Peachy Keen. I forgot to write down his size but it was probably 2 inches in height. I used Nifty Fifties for the title and welded it on my Gypsy too. I love the font on that cartridge! It was just perfect for this layout.

Hope you enjoyed my layout as much as I did making it. Stop back next Saturday for the Card and Invitation Blog Hop I will be participating in for My Cricut Craft Room. I am going to have some blog candy. Not sure what it will be yet...may need to go shopping!
