Happy New Year!

Wishing everyone a Happy New Year!! For Christmas, I made 9 of these Merry Christmas frames for family. They were done while caring for my sweet Mom who passed away on December 13th. She had been ill for a long time and the months that we all cared for her were difficult and heartbreaking. I am so happy that we did this for her so she could be at home when she passed. She needed around the clock care and our family took turns spending nights with her. Cross stitching these gave me something to pass the time during the long hours when she slept. I hope the family liked them! I also used my Cricut to decorate kraft bags bought at Hobby Lobby. They were filled with the cross stitch frame, some banana bread, Amish cinnamon bread, some crock pot candy and a whisk that was filled with Hershey kisses and had a tag that read We Whisk You a Merry Kissmas. I forgot to take pictures. My heart and mind was really not into Christmas this year!

Fall mantel decor

I love decorating the mantel and autumn is one of my favorite times to do it. Love the colors and I especially love the decorations that I have accumulated for this season. I found some fantastic wire candlesticks for fall at a craft fair/yard sale. I have a few cross stitch pieces I have done and my Boo piece that I bought at Hobby Lobby last year. Hope you are all enjoying the fall...would love to see how you decorate too! I would love to see your blogs with the decorations you have made or bought.

Artbooking Happy Birthday Card

I recently made birthday card for my mother in law. Her birthday is tomorrow. She is the best and sweetest mother in law anyone could ever hope for! This card is one that I made after seeing Melanie at Courtney Lane Designs make it. Mine is very similar to hers only I also used the Formal Occasions cartridge to add flowers to the front instead of using a stamp like Melanie did. I love the overlays on the new Artbooking cartridge. They cut so easily and really add a lot to my cardmaking. I cannot wait to explore this cartridge more and to use it to make some layouts! I also used my Envelope Punch Board to make a matching envelope. I love that tool!!

County Fair card

Thanks for Poppin By my blog!! I appreciate all the visits and comments you leave....it just makes my day! I made several of these cards to send to family just to say hello The inside says "Poppin by to say hi!" and then I added a personal message. I cut the popcorn from County Fair and it was sized to 4". Lots of cutting for all the little pieces but it went together very quickly. The card base was cut at 8.5 x 5.5 and then scored so it is an A2 sized card. I made an envelope using my WRMK Envelope Punch board. In my opinion, that is a must have tool! I love how perfectly the envelopes turn out and always just the right size.
